In 2003 when my only daughter became engaged, our family business was about to close. Debt was piling up and we just couldn't sell enough of our product to break even. However, I wanted a wedding to remember for my daughter; afterall, she was my only child. So, how does one afford a $26,000 wedding AND handle a failing business: DREAM BIG and the answers will come.
We got into the tail end of the housing boom and renovated a house. We had no money (here comes the first financial fairytale) so most people would think,"how could you afford to even buy a house to renovate?". Answer: we couldn't so we found a financial partner. That venture helped pay for our daughter's memorable wedding.
As I said in an earlier comment, if you commit to something you want, the means of affording or doing it will surface. Robert, I remember you saying in "Rich Dad's Secrets...." that you always wanted to take a company public but wouldn't know how to do it. You were encouraged to believe that when the time was right to do so, the teacher would appear. As you tell the story, when that time did come, you were introduced to someone by a friend whose business it was to take companies public.
Committing to a dream is nothing more than having faith that your dreams will come true.
I think that dreams are very important in life. If you have no dream your will perish. I believe the bible quotes something like.. Where there is no hope the people will perish.
I think this is true for dreams. I always had a dream of owning my own business I was allowed to start my business and did so for several years then there was that downturn and My wife made a comment that I should seek at a regular career. I did and went back to work a Year and Half later I am back in the same boat. I have started dreaming again and guess what things are starting to get better long and short people need to have dreams so they have a goal to go for.
My first and foremost financial dream is to have more passive income than I have expenses. Simple.
After that dream, it is to increase it - much like when I play CASHFLOW.
Talking about CASHFLOW, it is my favorite board game and NOBODY will play it with me, my family and friends say it's stupid and a waste of time - don't feel bad, those same people think my website is also stupid and waste of time.
I once dreamt of being a pop star singing on stage in front of massive crowds. I might not be the a pop star now but I do get to sing in front of crowds even though they are just Junior High school Student. Now the dream is to be a rich teacher!! I have begun by owning my own school of English and am beginning to expand having hired a new teacher I can begin to create new classes.
I don't think that having just a dream is enough I think its having many dreams around in your head and seeing which one plays out in reality, and pursuing to the end and then taking up the next dream.
It is Not the dream since it does not cost anything to dream. The real problem is taking the steps necessary to achieve the dream. I have a friend who want to become a nurse yet she refuses to recognize the first step is taking her GED and passing it. Then there is the consistency involved in achieving the dream and not quitting when the dream does not work out has planned. You have to recognize defining moments in acheiving the dream
to be mother, or not to be mother, that was the question!
When I found myself, at the ripe old age of 36, unemployed, homeless and pregnant in a single kind of way, it became evident that I needed to be the cashflow queen given I was not on a regular salary for the first time in my life (and doesn’t that make you focus on money matters?!). It was at this time that my entrepreneurial spirit was ignited.
I had to seriously review my financial responsibilities for myself, and my child, so cash flow (current and future) became a key consideration, and still is. Including the full Rich Dad series, I read many books and articles, attended seminars, played games, talked to targeted and talented people, and progressively built a knowledge bank, which enables me to now feel reasonably comfortable when making financial decisions.
Examples of key financial decisions that I have made to date are:
- the development and growth of aCE talentNET (www.acetalentnet.com.au);
- the purchase of three properties (one has since been sold);
- the trading of shares (hard lessons learnt here!);
- the growth and sale of another small business;
- the partial ownership of a racehorse (that was FUN)
- all at the same time as continuing to finance significant overseas adventures for two, every 2 years since the birth of my daughter. The latest, in April-May 2009, was to Spain, Morocco, Portugal, France, Belgium and the UK.
Not bad in 12 years!
As good fortune would have it, as my daughter has grown so has the success of the business. Having taken over the entire aCE talentNET business in 2000, it is now a lot bigger than me. It grows and thrives both nationally and internationally. However I would like to point out that the definition of "success" for me probably looks different than one would immediately conclude. Let me explain...
Whilst aCE talentNET has been in operation 13 years, this year it will turnover approx. $1.3 million. Not a lot in that period of time one may observe. But you know what, it has been more than enough as it has enabled me to build slowly but surely, do business during school hours and still be able to play with large corporate clients. I have designed the business to fit the lifestyle I want, and it's working a treat!
Today my “designed” life is ticking over nicely, and aCE talentNET is run entirely by entrepreneurial mothers (and one father!), just like me. And I am proud to say that I am now spending more of my time assisting other entrepreneurial mothers design and live that dream lifestyle, using business as the platform.
I believe that Frank Sinatra’s song ‘I did it my way’ pretty much epitomises my journey to date and will no doubt continue to do so. I'm not one to blindly follow others, but rather blazes my own individual trail, a fact that is evident in my story… thus far.
Right now I am going through a time of flux again as my daughter gets ready to move on from primary school into secondary school, so the ramifications of this will be fairly large. The decision is around one of choice, and not how much I can afford, therefore the short-term dreaming and thinking involved will cross all aspects of our lives. How exciting!
My dreams long-term are to continue swanning around the world as I please, play grandmother (I know, give it time!), receive bucketloads of passive income, and be healthy, wealthy and wise! Here's to being the entrepreneurial mother...
Well, I Am going to be the FIRST person in my family to become a multi-millionare. There is so much We will be able to do having a multi-million dollar a year income. I have so many other Dreams I want to achieve. I am an Amway Global Business Owner. So going out to help others achieve thier goals and Dreams is how I am going to make it happen. Thank You for Doing what you do and Help people to teach them on financial IQ.
I am inspired every time I read, see and hear your commitment to improving the financial well-being of humanity. I too was hoping to do that as an international publisher for you. My heart is in my dream of being a part of Rich Dads mission as I found my passion teaching others to improve their financial literacy. I still share as much as I can this mission even though I have made embarrassing and severe mistakes working on achieving my dream.
Over the last year I have found it difficult to deal with the repercussions of my mistakes, but I am not out of the game. Every waking moment I am thinking of ways to make amends and pursue the dream of being an international publisher for you. Your education and words of encouragement help to keep the dream alive. I would only need a second chance. The question is, how can I earn that right?
I have many ideas about how, I would only need an ear to hear the plan.
If I lose out and never regain the honor of being a part of your team, I will still be grateful for the lessons learned in my Financial Education.
I want to become a millionaire for the freedom it provides
I have big dreams. First of all, I would like to create a cashflow of $100,000/month through real estate. I want to live by the ocean. I want to drive a Ferrari, Jaguar, or Lamborguini. I want to marry a beautiful man that makes my heart race (yes, i do believe in gay marriage, and yes, I am gay)
I want to reach my fullest potential on earth, and see the world with abundance.
After becoming a millionaire, I will want to reach multi-millionaire status, then billionaire. I want to invest in gold and silver now, before inflation kicks in.
I have dreams, and I will make something of myself.
“If your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme”
Dreams / Goals are crucial. That is so ingrained in me that I will not spend time or continue a relationship with anyone who can not dream. They can just suck the life out of you.
I have dreams. I would love to be able to travel whenever I want to. I would like to not have to work for someone who required you to be there sitting at a desk even during times when it is slow and there is literally nothing productive to do. I would love to plan a vacation without having to schedule my time off based on other people's schedules. I would love to walk into a store and buy whatever clothing I like without feeling like it was too expensive. I always wonder what the people I see shopping there do for a living or how they are able to afford to buy what is offered there.
I have tried MLM, but I just can't get into having to buy a required amount each month and keep pitching my products to everyone I know hoping that someone will become a regular customer or even start duplicating my efforts. So I am in a quandry as to how to move from employee to someone who reaps a passive income. I have no product of my own to promote and I am closing in on retirement age. It is depressing when everyone you are working with or for is younger than you are and probably making more money.

I have been thinking about your Chapter 7 comment, that if you could control the schools, you would teach cash flow to our children. You often mention playing Monopoly as a child and learned basic cash flow lessons from the game. You believed enough in games to have created Cashflow for Kids, Cashflow 101 and 202. I also know that you have given and/or tried to give schools free Cashflow games and that effort did not catch on well - probably because of just to much suspicion about your profit motives. Even if a teacher believed in the game, I think it is to hard to sell the idea of using it to parents (and other teachers) who feel it is just a backdoor sales opportunity for you.
Games are a great way to teach however, and many schools use commericaly available games in class, have them available at recess/lunch or allow after school clubs based on games.
I was thinking you just need a more familiar and less controversial vehicle for teaching cashflow. How about creating a strategic partnership with Milton Bradley and designing a version of Monopoly that emphasizes cashflow more, explains it and celebrates it, introduces entrepreneurship, allows for a few levels of advancement/expertise and, as with your Cashflow games, starts with the children PICKING THEIR DREAM?
Monopoly would be a much more acceptable vehicle for getting cashflow concepts into schools and homes. People know and love Monopoly. True, the price point for Monoploy is lower than Cashflow for Kids and a partnership would provide less profit. I know. I can hear you complaining, but developing future entrepreneurs is worth it - and even a small profit on each game would add up on a worldwide scale. With a little financial education under their belt, students, parents and teachers will be inspired to look for the next level of entrepreneurial games and books - and you will be found.
Getting this country back on more entreprenurial footing would be great. I bet you could sell Milton Bradley on the idea.
Best to you and my regards to Kim.
Thank you for all you do.
In 1998 I read Rich dad / Poor dad, and the Phrase "Are you living a life style or rental a Lifestyle?" hit me hard, 3 month later I gave back the nice sport car, rent out the nice house (create immediate cash flow) and went on a journey that took me about 10 years to realize (of couse i had not really a clear idee or lengh of time at that time)...Today I am writing from South of Spain, from Sevilla one if not the most beautiful city in Spain, from the appartment i can see the amazing Cathedral "La Giralda".
During those 10 years I try many things but 3 things where my focus, Cash Flow, get to the B side of the Quadrant and Life Life Fully with myself and family, and last week with my wife and my 2 kids (6 month and 3 years) we all move to Spain where for now we are going to simply enjoy the time been and in few month I will look into another business to start...And been able to spend if you want everyday with your love one as no price.
Robert and Tony Robins are the bigest influence in my life because they help me understand of the potential that we all have within ourselves.
I know 10 years sounds like a long time but at 39 it doesnt, I am not coming from old money, or have any degree, I immigrated to the USA from France with a big open mind to new things and understood right away that "Only fail the one who dont try" and also always remind myself the story of the study done on the Bumble bee...they discover that the Bumble cant fly....body is too big and the wings too smal to support it....so technically it can not fly....but guess what?, the Bumble bee doesnt know it, so it flies anyway....dont let people or worst...yourself you cant do something, because unless you try...you wont be able to find out.
Agree with Robert that dreams are a motivation to keep getting richer.
My dreams are:
To be very healthy, physically and mentally, just before dying at more than 100 years old, and of course the same to my wife
To travel countries and cities such as : Australia, South Africa, the Victoria falls, Italy, France, Alaska, Hawaii, New Zealand, Maldives islands, Spain, Bruges, Prague, Moscow, Japan, China, India, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, SWeden, Canada, Bahamas, South & north poles...
To have passive income that is so high and safe, that it keeps flowing, even if I´m not supervising or working. Cash comes in easily and frequently.
To have my parents travel to Florida, NY, San Francisco and Buenos Aires
and living with the best quality of life money can afford.
To have true and real friends, that hang out with me because of who I am, not because of how much $ they can take away from me.
To enjoy life every minute, to be always happy, in state of joy.
I share my dreams with many I am sure, but they remain my dreams just the same. I am on a journey as we speak for freedom, spiritualy, physicaly as well as financialy. I have chosen not to keep creating wealth for the wealthy by trading my valuable time for pennies on the dollar to keep filling their pockets. I am doing this by first educating myself and then not sitting on what I am learning, but applying it to my unique journey. I have moved myself from the E and S side of your "Cashflow Quaderant" and inserted myself into the B quaderant of the B and I side, I am also teaching others to do the same, helping them to realize their dreams.
If you don't aim at something you will never hit it
Hi Robert
Thanks again for the great reading...
I heard a story today that confirms your message of the importance of a dream.
I used to own a company that manufactured inflatable bouncy castles. I kept asking one of my suppliers if it wasn't possible to make a blower for the inflatables that would be quieter, but with a higher pressure and airflow. He took it as a challenge and speaking to him today about 3 years later he proudly told me he has done it. He refused to accept that he had to keep making the product the way everyone always had. In the process of following his dream to improve the product he discovered a much better way of doing the same thing. He now owns a new plastic mold of the product and has the potential to sell the product world wide.
I said to him, if you aim at something for long enough you will eventually hit it. (You have just got to be careful what you aim at.)
I dream of achieving financial freedom. I have to confess that my drive to succeed in my life financially right now is to give my parents a house before they leave this world. My mom and dad have worked so hard all their lives and we as a family, have gone through really rough times. At the twilight of their lives now, they deserve to live a comfortable life, and I will succeed in giving this comfortable life to them.
I'm going to achieve my dream by sharing my life's experiences and lessons learned throughout my life, with the online community. God has given all of us special gifts that we can harness and share with the world. I have never believed more than I do today, especially after having read "Conspiracy of the Rich", that I can and will succeed in life by educating myself with self-help and financial books such as yours, Robert.
My husband and I have devoured five books by Robert so far as well as many other financial education books. Years ago we invested in rental homes and started two companies that are struggling with the economy as they are construction related, but we are learning a lot and can't wait for the up turn. We will also be ready for any future downturns as we are writing down what mistakes we made and how to prepare for the future. We are working very hard right now on education, family down time and planning the future as once things get better we will hit the ground running. Dreams aren't unattainable if you work out a plan to get there. Don't give up.
I remember hearing Jimney Cricket sing this when I was small and even had it on a record, but did not really get the significance until recently.
Great section and true reality. I think the lessons of that line and the enitre song ring bold, strong and true. If it is in your heart then it is not to extreme to do anything. "Ask and you shall receive" is the same idea.
Also in the song Impossible Dream there are many great lines like this one. Dream the "impossible dream without question or pause... to run where the brave dare not go ... this is my quest to follow that star no matter how hopeless not matter how far...I know if I'll only be true to this glorious quest that my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest"
I dreamed of becomeing an attorney and achieved it despite no one in my family having ever graduated college. It was something many people told me was impossible.
I made a list of ten "dreams" that seemed impossible at the time I created the list and have achieved most of them. I have overcome asthma (despite doctors saying it is impossible) and gotten off all of the medications I used to take, gone on an African Safari and watched the lions (I wanted to see a male lion in his natural environment and got to see one within feet), touched a white rhino (although they are nearly extinct), rode tough rollercoasters (petrified) and other rides at Disney, swam with dolphins (without knowing how to swim), got to see puffins in the wild, had an elephant give me a massage at an elephant camp in Thailand, received a kiss from and elephant and a ride on his trunk, rode on elephant, had a picture perfect outdoor wedding with beautiful weather and even a butterfuly came by during the ceremony, etc.
I will be seeing the Bengal Tiger in India -- I am sure the universe will provide that experience to me.
I have set "impossible dream" and "followed that star" no matter what. Many of those life dreams have become reality. Some I still am working towards.
The biggest thing to remember is always be grateful and give with abundance (can be time, things, skills, a smile, a complement, etc). Change every life around you for the better.
My life has changed totally since I made this realization change of mindset while before none of this was possible to me and thus none of it would have happened.
In 1997 I completed a labor of love, my book, which was my dissertation. It was not a meaningless academic exercise but a passionate fulfillment of a dream. The title is THE JOURNEY INTO OUR UNBOUNDED NATURE: A Scientific Path of Wonder and Spiritual Regeneration. I had learned Transcendental Meditation in February 1993 I had such positive life changing experiences from this simple effortless technique that I began reading every book I could get my hands on to try and clarify this inner and outer transformation that was occurring. That same year I went on to learn Yogic Flying and my voyage became even more exhilarating.
In Fairfield, IA there is a university [MUM] where there are two golden domes one for ladies and one for men. In these domes people are doing Yogic Flying together. "Yogic Flying" is learned as a part of the TM-Sidhi program. Over 100,000 people have learned Yogic Flying, and like Transcendental Meditation its benefits are practical, holistic, and scientifically validated. For instance, EEG studies show that during Yogic Flying, at the moment when the body lifts up, coherence is maximum in brain wave activity.
My dream at present is to become financially independent, [which is about to happen] retire my wife and move to Fairfield, IA and buy a fortune creating home [designed according to vedic architecture] and fly in the dome twice a day and enjoy many hours of bubbling bliss. While not in the dome write my books and do volunteer work for The Global Country of World Peace.
I would like my husband and I to have the freedom to travel when and where we want to go. We like to ride bicycles. Would love to travel with my road bike (or rent a good one) and bike different places.
Want to live on a lake. Want to help provide for future grandchildren to be home schooled.
I have a dream that one day each individual will have the courage to step out of their conditioned way of thinking and take responsibility for their own freedom from social slavery.
Just imagine if you were knowledgeable and skilled enough to create multiple income streams from investments. Are you savvy enough to generate 10-20% per month returns? You would only need $200k+ to start with to earn $20,000-$40,000 per month. Is this enough?
What would you do if you had enough monthly (semi-)passive cashflow to support the lifestyle you desired? You will have the time to follow your passions - not be enslaved to a job that serves your employer. Would you give your time and help your fellow man to become as free as you?
Imagine the impact on society. Less reliance on Govt pensions, less need to borrow money (reliance on banks), ability to donate to charity, spend your time contributing to your health & wellbeing and helping those less fortunate perhaps.
Are you earning $50,000 net pa? That's 4yrs to $200,000 if you saved every dollar. Do you have the discipline for that? Why save 10% (standard financial advice) when you can save 20-100% and get there sooner? Do you have at least $200,000 equity? If you acquired the skills in 12 months you can then start - and even with paying $834/month interest (5% pa) you still make enough.
Think of the possibility, make a choice, then just do it!
The reward is freedom!
I've been waiting for something like this for a while.
I read Rich Dad/Poor Dad and ABC's of Real Estate Investing (by Ken) and they both changed my life. I was working a retail job that I hated, and thought I knew what struggle meant.
Long story short, I decided to put my proverbial money where my mouth was and just start living in the moment. Dreaming out loud, so to speak. That dream took me on a road that was harder than anything I could imagine, but you can't reach your dreams without sometimes incredible risk involved. When I realized money was an idea, a piece of paper, I decided to stop letting people tell me my time and experience were only worth certain amounts of green paper. We in the western world have taken our eyes off the prize of freedom, and put ourselves back into slavery of something that at this point is but an allusionary piece of paper referencing a series of numbers that a bank holds. I need more than that from life. Money is great, financial freedom is wonderful. But mental, spiritual, and emotional freedom, as Bob talks about... and education, are FAR more important. In the world of "knowledge is power," I don't want to be ignorant.
I have many dreams:
-Buy a yacht and sail in the Caribbeans',
-Build my own house on 50 acre with houses for my parents and in- laws,
-Have another child in three years,
-Buy and manage my apartment houses,
These dreams has always followed me. My proof was that in the elemntary and middle schools, my paintings in art classes were the same, red brick houses with a tree in the yeard.
When I told my daughter of it, she said to me, she has always loved the ocean and fish. (Well, we do have three fish.)
I do believe Dreams Come True as long as I put the dreams into my heart. " What You Ask, and You shall receive."
I'm always changing my dreams.... when I was a young musician...i heard a child "prodigy" orchestra and I told my dad it was my dream to be in that orchestra.... and a year later I was. Later i burned out on music and moved on to other things....
the next dream was to be a jewelry designer....so i went to diamond and gem school and worked in the jewelry industry......never got to be a designer but found out i didn't want to..
the next one was to be a a food scientist and work on product development... so i went to school for that.... and had several internships in R&D....decided that was boring and picked up my rich dad books again.....
my current dream is build up a real estate fleet and have enough cashflow to hang out go hiking and climbing and camping and traveling whenever i please. and to buy a nice house in the mountains.... that dream started a year and a half ago....... my husband and I now have 6 rental properties (plus a personal residence/not in the mountains yet) that are 100% leveraged and cashflow nicely... it's only the beginning but we're getting there....
I never realized how dreams came true until lately. I never had a single dream that i followed - very scattered. Always envied those who, like olympic athletes, were facinated by ice skating or whatever at age 3 and never varied off of it. what focus!!
then I read an article about "throwing your hat over the fence' IE: make a commitment. You must push yourself into a position that you HAVE to move forward, no turning back.
With that, I decided at age 35 (and female to boot) to learn how to play baseball. Not just watching, but actually doing. I took lessons from a coach who took me seriously - hitting, running bases, everything. from there I was able to help manage a womens baseball team in the Roy Hobbs World Series. from there i wanted to learn more about my favorite player, who was from Nicaragua, so I decided to combine that interest with a need to learn spanish for my job as a paramedic. I did a trip to Nicaragua, spending week in a home immersion language school in the players hometown.
I use this 'pebble in the water" technique to learn and grow. Currently, my interest in a TV crab fishing show has led me to to a boating school, learn some Norwegian, planning a trip to Alaska, and consider joining the Coast guard Aux. Getting to your goal is only part of the journey, dont miss the interesting stops along the way!
If you're willing to step out of your comfort zone, make a comittment, take a chance and LEARN, everything in life is available. My motto: Life is a banquet - most poor SOBs are starving to death!! Dont be one of them.
Or on other occasions it was Davey Crocket. I loved the outdoors and crisp mountain streams, fresh fish and an abundance of wildlife doing what wildlife intended to do, be wild.
Thanks Robert ... for a minute there as I looked out the window I was Zorro, and I think at one stage I had a Zorro outfit. I loved defending the poor and eliminating injustice.
I watched the Bourne Supremecy last night for the tenth time ... my wife said, "You're obsessed, with Jason Bourne, Boston Legal and Robert Kiyosaki", and I threw in "... and Buckminster Fuller" as I settled down to watch the movie.
My wife is also clear that I'm a "skurvy elephant" as Dr Wayne Dyer calls 'disturbing elements' ... as I said in my previous post, I have given my life to fulfilling Bucky's dream of creating a world that works for everyone through a comprehensive design revolution.
My artifact is not yet 100% complete but is getting very close and you are invited to become a FREE member of Your Healthy Planet.com. and welcome to assist in any way you can.
So perhaps my dreams of being Robin Hood and freeing the surfs has always been a 'driving force'.
I know my values were determined during those very early years and are still what drives me today, to be honest, to treat everyone fairly but to fight back like a tiger when injustice occurs.
Thanks to Rich Dad Poor Dad, "....the sleeper has awakened." The sleeper was me. Prior to this economic down turn, I was riding the high waves of good times, clueless to what was coming my way. Ever since I came across Rich Dad Poor Dad, I've been on a journey of change. My journey of change has taken many places, preparing me for my new path to financial freedom. My dream of leaving job security and becoming an entrepreneur is much closer to being realized.
Living your dream....today is possible, having more then one is
fun! This was the most moving chapter for me. It truly was heart felt. Thank you Robert for opening your heart. I needed a mentor and got you. The prior chapters are work, but knowledge I needed on finances that I was unaware. Now that I am financialy smarter and 30 years older my dream business will have a better chance to survive this time. I will write a book to share with everyone on "Living Your Dreams, One at a Time. I also am a rich person who does not let money, or the lack of it dictate boundries in my life. Having finances cut off with positive thoughts leads to creative dreams. Mind over matter will achieve. My dreams also entail my husband and two boys on showing them how to have and live their dreams as well. We are a family in progress.
Oh, and my business dream "Deborah's Town and Country Charm Schools and Beyond........" Essentials for Success, for girls of all ages.
My dream or what I like to call my purpose in life is to invest in businesses that directly improve the quality of life for people suffering from hardships. I want to own businesses in life sciences, healthcare, and energy technology. With the profits that I generate from that I would like help eradicate poverty, sickness, and ignorance by building a charitable foundation. I also have some dreams of material abundance as well as social and health abundance.
Hello Mr Kiyosaki and everyone too.
I don't dream since an 10 years ago, I thought that crazies things was it. I've been so wrong. Unique I've achieved is owning a house 8x12m, a neighbor store and a computer with internet.
From now I'll return to dream thanks to you Mr Kiyosaki.
Greetings from Ecuador
I read somewhere, that if you write out your dreams every day, it will change your life. Every day, something strange and new happens that guides me closer and closer to my 'dream day'. I highly encourage anyone to do the same. It really is life changing.
Please read my dream day, it will give my dream strength, and reality - the more minds it influences.
I wake up, and kiss my beautiful wife! She coos and gives me a cuddle. I walk downstairs to the kitchen and make myself some breakfast. My best friend visiting from Australia has finally come to visit, and he is awake too. We stand in the window to my huge deck and have a cup of tea.
We go downstairs, and I show him how I easily, and quickly 'rent' shares out for $10,000 for the rest of the week. He is excited and amazed to finally see what i have been learning talking about for so long. I show him my fully automated internet business and the numbers it has made for the month. More amazement.
We play a game of pool in my games room, and walk to my Honda Ridgeline in the garage, and put the snowboards in the back. We drive to the ski lodge, and we do some snowboarding for the morning.
We drive back to my place, talking about happiness and money, when we get home our wives are awake and chatting in front of the fireplace with a cup of coffee. We all sit and talk a bit, and then get ready to go to Minneapolis. We all go shopping in the Mall of America, and then we go look at a few foreclosure meetings I have set up. I put three offers in, maybe on will get accepted - all are good buys.
We go to a Timberwolves game, and mix it up with one of our friends playing in the NBA from our hometown. We meet amazing people, and go and explore the downtown night scene.
We go back to our hotel room for the night, drink some wine, and have another chat. *certain details omitted;)* My wonderful wife falls asleep in my arms.
When I started writing this, I was in Australia, in a 2 bedroom apartment. I was not married. I am now married, I live in Wisconsin about 3 minutes drive from a ski hill. My window to my deck is HUGE! My house is amazing, and I have a games room. I don't have the car, or the pool table yet - but I know they are coming.
It doesn't make any logical sense. I don't try to make sense of it. Dreaming works, and I encourage all people, especially those in their 20's (most people who stop dreaming, stop in their 20's) to keep their dreams alive, and write out your 'Dream Day'!
Hi Robert,
thank you for wonderfully clear, insightful "path-finding" writing.
I play Cashflow with my kids and friends, and reading this has just inspired me to "tweak" our copy of the game. I'm making some "Dream Cards" on which we can write our OWN dreams and place on the board. Because as you say, its our own quirky dreams that matter to each of us.
My dreams have changed more than once over the years. I have dreamed of becoming middle class from extreme poverty, living off only 4-5,000 a year in the early 1990's. I then dreamed of being a nurse and went on to be valedictorian and give graduation speech. Now my dream is to build my own business which I started one year ago. It has been a struggle beginning. I had very little help or knowledge and learn new things all the time. I have found several deals that I could have made big money on if I had some to start. The more I learn though the more I see I could have still had them with creative finance or more learning. I am in the process of building my own home off of my business and have dreamed of doing that for almost 20 years. I cant believe how easy things can be with positive atitude, knowledge and very importantly a mentor like Robert to help us.
My dream is simple. I want total freedom. Which is why I believe in the rich dad message! I want to be making at least $100,000/year passive income before I consider myself financially free for life. The reason for me wanting to that special number is that I want to travel the world! I want to visit over one hundred countries. I want to see the history of different countries. I want to eat exotic foods and I want to do all the wonderful things that also come along with travel.
But a dream that I have thats even bigger than that... is that I want to inspire others to reach for freedom as well! Freedom is the most priceless possession. I can't imagine life without it and I want others to enjoy freedom with me. All in all, I want to be a world renowned motivational expert thats uplifts people, not keeps them down!
Sharing is also important because it helps me to focus and clarify. My dreams have evolved over the years. Before it was to bring up my children so that they live a happy life. I have done my job as I have provided them with a sense of power, worth and knowledge through your 'Rich Dad' series of books and the Cashflow games.
Now My Dream is to be part of a HUB that helps people of all ages (myself included because I am a life long student:)to A-Z (align, bridge, connect, decide, establish, focus, generate, honour, increase, jump, kind, integrate, listen, master, new, one, prepare, raise, serve, transform, understand, vibrate, align, think, understand, vibrate, win, xenogamous, yield, and zip) together, growing, learning, prospering and living in peace, harmony and abundance.
This could be part of an internet/virtual community with a gathering place in a wooded, beautiful water-front community that people could come and stay for a different length of time all through the year.
This place will feed people’s soul, body, mind and spirit through many avenues such as the arts, culture, wellness and experiential learning.
The building will model after the architectural design of Frank Lloyd Wright or Bill Strickland's Manchester Craftsmen's Guild. I will go one step beyond by combining Bill's Vision, Dr. Myron Wentz'Vision of 'Living Life to the Fullest in Happiness and Health' with Robert's financial literacy program. That's a magnificent marriage made in heaven to free humans from the invisible shackles that bind them to modern day slavery.
This is My Dream!
How am I going to achieve this is by aligning my vibration with this Vision, seeing it as happened, hold the faith, share with people, and let the Law of Attraction and the Universe help me in the manifestation of this Dream.
Life is a teacher and we humans are it students, so we should be ready to face challenges in life. Actually am aiming to become a successful enterpreneur and a great motivator. Studying all the aspect of enterpreneurship such as business management, law, taxation, investment etc, will help me to attain my goal. I want to own companies and also invest largely in estate developing. Orghanage homes will not be excluded, aiming to assist these children financially. In other to inspire and motivate the youth, i'm going to be the best motivational speaker and writer in my time. My advice is to remember that whatever our mind can believe and conceive is attainble. A man without a dream is like a person travelling without knowing his destination. Aim at your zenith , because there are alot of good things awaiting. To be a champion you must pretend as if you the best even if you are not.
I dream of being able to provide for my families needs without having to buy expensive insurance or having someone else control what I can or cant do. I want to be financially wealthy so I can expand my philanthropy to building apartments for the homeless where they can learn self respect, self discipline, financial independence and how to have a great family. I want to provide safe shelter and a means for learning work skills and proper financial education. The quote I take as my life's quote is "What are we to live for if it is not to make life less difficult for others."
I dream of string numerous companies I can take to market or franchise that will change how we utilize health care in this country. Provide a more preventative approach that is so all-encompassing it makes insurance companies and hospitals stand up and take notice since they will have less people seeking them for help. I will found a training center that will provide education for people on all aspects of living a good life so people can use correct principles to govern their life rather than a good sales pitch or what the government thinks is best.
The world will be better because of me and I will see to it that I do my best.
Robert,
I think that dreams are very important in life.
Hi Robert,
My first and foremost financial dream is to have more passive income than I have expenses.

- the development and growth of aCE talentNET (www.acetalentnet.com.au);
- the purchase of three properties (one has since been sold);
- the trading of shares (hard lessons learnt here!);
- the growth and sale of another small business;

Hi Robert!
Thank you, and your Rich Dad!
How can you help people like me find a way out?

Hi Robert,
I have been thinking about your Chapter 7 comment, that if you could control the schools, you would teach cash flow to our children.

Be well
Agree with Robert that dreams are a motivation to keep getting richer.
THAT´S WHY I´M EDUCATING MYSELF EVERY DAY.
Thanks,
I share my dreams with many I am sure, but they remain my dreams just the same.
Dear Robert and Rich Dad community,
I dream of achieving financial freedom.
James.
Anyway, Bob, thanks a million for your books.
Blessings.
Gavin Drake
Later i burned out on music and moved on to other things....
the next dream was to be a jewelry designer....so i went to diamond and gem school and worked in the jewelry industry......never got to be a designer but found out i didn't want to..
the next one was to be a a food scientist and work on product development... so i went to school for that.... and had several internships in R&D....decided that was boring and picked up my rich dad books again.....
my current dream is build up a real estate fleet and have enough cashflow to hang out go hiking and climbing and camping and traveling whenever i please. and to buy a nice house in the mountains.... that dream started a year and a half ago....... my husband and I now have 6 rental properties (plus a personal residence/not in the mountains yet) that are 100% leveraged and cashflow nicely... it's only the beginning but we're getting there....
you never know until you try
I follow the invisible hand, not my dreams.
Having said that, I believe Mr Kiyosaki is a force of good and his efforts will help potentially millions of people.
My dream of leaving job security and becoming an entrepreneur is much closer to being realized.
Thanks for asking...
Thanks for asking, Robert.
Thank You!
