I consider that students should learn about advantages of being an entrepreneur rather than an employee. After that, they will have a clear picture about the person who they want to become in the future. Money should be taught in school from primary level to postgraduate.
Where would they get authorization to get into the job creation business let alone entrep'nr?. We the people would be better off with less intrusive gov't. We need to remind the gov't what its' role is regarding the lives of the people.
I remember an old guy teaching me about frying fish down by the river...he said, the more you fiddle with it the more broken the fish becomes... put it fry and turn it once maybe twice.
By inculcating practical entrepreneurial studies in the school curriculum especially in a developing economy like Nigeria's and providing necessary infrastructural facilities like regular power supply and broadband internet connection.
Since we are a democracy, our government is a government of the people. I am not sure if this is true today, but it is proven true each time in history when civil disobedience occurs. Civil disobedience forces changes in our government.
This next decade is a time for such civil disobedience. Civil disobedience in the past was something that was done with marches or standing in front of public buildings creating awareness and news. Today the idea of doing this is still good, but much harder to do. One may argue that it is easier to organize with the internet, but that is how I believe it should be done.
I read your question as "What are ways the "people" could go about creating entrepreneurs instead of jobs?" Well this is being done as others have mentioned with the MLM businesses and the internet. Internet marketers across the world are training others to be entrepreneurs.
People try to join an MLM business, but in order to succeed they must sell. So than they start the process of becoming a $ales Dog. This is too expensive for the majority of people to do (in their eyes).
So it would be nice to see the people change the government, so that the government would subsidize and make it cheaper to learn to be an entrepreneur. This probably will not happen though because of economics.
Economics is based on supply and demand, as each of us learned when we took our first economics class. The "people" choose to demand things such as cheap food by spending their money on such things. So our government supplies cheap food through subsidizing farmers to grow corn and we have dollar menus at fast food restaurants.
A better question Robert, I think would be, "How can the people create demand for more entrepreneurs so that our government will supply it?"
I found out a really good way to make money online, let me take couple mins of your time, that the rest of this will be simple and direct, read my review at Hubpages to find out what I am talking about. I keep watching Rich Dads videos and articles, reading books and so on. As I quest for the information, a have run upon Peter Schiff and what he is saying. It seems to be in accordance with what Robert says, so now I keep my eye on Peter Schiff as well.
He is running for senate now. From here (Europe) it looks pretty good. What do you thing. Is he right? Is he able to make a change? Is he the light at the end of the tunnel?

I am highly skeptical when I see multitude of people rehashing talking points without delving deep into the effects - pro and con - of having government creating entrepreneurs.
I'm really skeptical when I hear individuals imply that government is a bad thing and giving tax breaks without first securing jobs is somehow a good thing.
Where's the healthy skepticism? Wheres the deep thinking?
Dear Robert,
I just read your conspiracy of the rich book and it is great! I Love it! I know that this is a little off the topic but I was just listening to the song Working clas Hero by John Lennon and since I just read your book that song makes so much more sense to me now!
Dear Robert,
the only things that I know about the U.S. economy is by your books and the cooperation that I have with two huge businesses that are established at the states.
On the other hand I live in Greece europe and used to work for a long time for the goverment but I also build an independent business using network marketing (my own business using an educational Sytem and creating entrepreneurs) trying to get out of the ratrace.
For a long time I was observing my coleages and friends investing a lot of money at th stok market, some of them (say) went well, some others (dont say) didnt go so well and they just not discuss about it.
Answering to your question I believe from the bottom of my heart that the only way (at least in my country were the laws about real estate are very different than yours)to get out of the rat race is to FIND A SYSTEM AND WORK YOUR BRAINS OUT TO CREATE SOME ASSETS FOR INCOME AT THE LEFT QUADRANTS, AND OF COURSE HAVING CONTINIOUSLY EDUCATED FINANCIALLY ALLWAYS HAVING ON MIND TO HELP PEOPLE GROW AND ACHIVE SUCCESS ALL OVER THE WORLD.
Teacher,
with my best regards,
a very humble student of modern entrepreneurs and successfull leaders,
Vassilis Nikolaidis,

goverment should lent our people money, especially for those who need the money to make their own business.
And the money only can come to those people through the bank.
the problem is, is there we can trust that the bank would lend the money to those people, or they used that money to buy stocks,or else otherwise lend it to those who really need it.
the second problem is, the people who need the money are really use it to make their business not to spend it for something else and can't pay back to the bank.
The current Government policy and all the politics support individuals as job seekers. You'll need a "politics" change to develop an environment suitable for entrepreneurial emphasis. Maybe the downturn in the economy will provide the requirted motivation for change.
In school, I had to learn a lot of things - but it lacked the relation to real life.
And further more: I did not learn anything about the most important things in life: HOW to learn, communication with myself and others, going beyond your personally felt limit, responsability, leadership, money...
I had to learn this the best I could out there in real life - by trial and error.
But there were two institutions that really changed my life:
First: The Army. I served at the mountain troops. I learned about leadership and responsability... Not from a book - I learned it by real life experience and by example. And I had to go beyond my limit a lot of times.
Second: A network marketing company. I learned about communication - with myself and others. Again I had to go beyond my limits. This time I learned to sell, the hard way, out there in the field, by example. And I learned some valuable lessons about money.
So how could a government help creating entrepreneurs, not jobs?
Well, adjust the education... Let people make more real life experience. And get the teachers to make that real life experience, so they can teach by giving an example.
But the good thing is: We don't have to wait for a government or the system to change... It is all out there...
This goes especially to all the parents:
You don't have to spend a fortune on the right education. Get yourself books and read them. And try out the suggestions that are given there. Some of them will work out for you. Then teach your children by example. Don't blame others. Take control over your life and the life of your children.
And most important: get yourself a book on learning how to learn. Apply it and teach your children as well. Encourage them to read. So they can grow all by themselves... even beyond your limitations.
It is all out there. Some people tell you the "secrets".
Like Mr. Kiyosaki and Mr. Trump.
All my deepest respect and thanks from the heart to them.
Don't wait for others to change... Just get going...
I do my best too...
I am sure most of us do not do enough of what we love doing. If we did, there would be less finger pointing and grumbling or asking someone else to fix it for us. Government is already in too much of my life 'business' - so look and find other resources to help create true entrepreneurs, and let the entrepreneur's create the jobs. Let's see parents step up a bit more to train their kids to find their path. There are lot's of books to read, people to talk to, and stories to tell of successes and how to avoid failure; even part time jobs for young people to learn about what interests them. And remember, if everyone was an entrepreneur, who would there be left to hire to help support a great business?
The government can get out of the way . People, young or old, are best taught to be entrepeneurs by entrepeneurs . Our educational system, in this regard, is a failure . Save the money spent on the d.o.e. and instead use it for a system of vouchers to spend on a school of the student's choice . We need schools tailored to the true needs of the students, such as different aspirations, strengths, interests, and learning styles . Among those would be the schools which provide an excellent entrepeneurial education .
Beyond that, something needs to change in the way our society works . We are beginning to be a society that looks to the government for all needs . this is not good . Innovation and entrepeneurship in society will be affected in the same way it was in the educational world . A Trabant in every driveway and a Lada in every garage, metaphorically speaking.
Basically, we need a government that provides infrastructures for markets to be built upon (ex. the internet, sort of, or gps). We don't need government policies that destroy markets (take your pick from the welfare state plethora).
How about a social network platform that is supported by the elements of the B-I Triangle? A system designed around those requirements would provide the necessary resources for entrepreneurship to flourish. This network could provide the talent, capital and overall guidance to create a higheer success rate for start ups. In essence it would be a real-time business development platform that would harvest entrepreneurship and protect the intelectual property at the same time. I believe transperancy is the key to protection. This might even be viable in the private sector? How would private investors look at this? I think favorable. That's my two-cents
What are ways the government could go about creating entrepreneu
Most children and even college students don't have any idea of what it takes to start and run your own business. Or that it's event possible for them. Entrepreneurship should be taught in schools alongside other topics relating to economics and finance. Children and especially high school students should be taught that small business is vital to our country's economy, that starting a business is an option instead of getting a job and how to go about doing that if they so desire.
Government controls school system. So we've been brainwashed to be good workers, period. If they can include financial education with the intention to inspire children to see bigger pictures to own their own company or at least start out something instead of getting job, more people will own their own companies. It all starts from mindset. Look at what they teach in school? They even have a day for parents to bring their kids to their office so they can be someday good workers.
Instead of "work for the dole" programs in Oz make financial education (relevant to the modern economy) a compulsory requirement for the unemployed receiving government benefits. Could include government unemployment agencies fostering the formation of Cashflow Clubs and such.
I think the federal government should make all new business exempt from paying any taxes (including payroll taxes) for the first 3-5 years. This would allow the businesses to reinvest more of their profit and help them to succeed. Also, I think the government should make it mandatory for all high school and college students to take a class in basic entrepreneurship before receiving their diploma or degree. This would present to students the option of starting a business rather than getting a job, which most student probably don't even think about while in school.
Business is more responsible and dependable than government? How is it that the banks are failing, then? This shows that bankers and creditors are irresponsible. I'm not sure that business will take care of society when push comes to shove and all that business functions for is short term profit rather than long term sustainability. I don't agree with how politics or economics functions in this country, or in the world for that matter. We are destroying the planet and sacrificing our children's future for short term gains. Government makes laws that determine economics. Both government and business need to make sure sustainability and fairness are incorporated into their goals and operations. Currently 50% of our national budget goes to military expenditures. Military expenditures are mainly to procure markets and resources from the countries we occupy. It has been shown that the contracts in military spending benefit a select few corporations and that waste and corruption are rampant. When money is spent abroad for war the public asks few questions and money can be spent wherever the government sees fit, often going to companies that our leaders hold major stock in. Why is it that we are so ready to see our tax dollars go to military spending and so reluctant that it be spent here on our infrastructure, sustainable farming, transportation, and education? I am all for entrepreneurism, but our Future Entrepreneurs must recognize their responsibility to the Employees, Business Professionals, and to Planet Earth.

Home based business to wet the apetite of entrepreneurial minds
The government needs to get involved to give credibility to non-traditional employment. Whilst not everyone is cut out to believe in their ability - often it only takes a taste of success. If somebody can make $1 a day online via their own website, why not $5, $10, $100, $1000 a day?
I wrote a 3 part blog series on a new site of mine that aims at targeting Australians but still caters for anybody intereted in online entrepreneurship. The 3 part series was initially a post-graduate assignment for a government policy paper - so it is taken from a particular angle.
I have only read a couple of chapters so far, but I have read 2 of Robert's past books ( I plan on reading more). I already feel successful!! Kinda the way i felt when I graduated from college, my goal then was to earn a paycheck with a comma in it!! Woohoo!! But it seems after paying more in taxes, student loans, and the costs of "continuing education lessons" for my license, it is a sad realization that I was actually making way more money bartending!
Perhaps it isn't up to the gov't to make it easier for us to become richer and more successful, if they did, couldn't they just take it away?
I've been told, "if _______ (you fill in the blank) were easy, every body would do it." That includes being rich.
Although I do feel that if someone genuinely needs "help" of whatever kind, there should be stipulations. For instance, people on Welfare/unemployment should have to take a drug test. I have to take one to get and keep my job (that pays for thier welfare dollars), they should have to take a drug to get and continue thier aid.
The government is not doing a good enough job of running the country, some running it do not realize the advantage creating entreprenuers, employees pay taxes. The SBA could go a little bit farther when they have the funds to hold seminars or classes in areas to let people know what is involved in launching a successful business or ideas. Looking at their website, it shows all the potential but seems a bit empty when one gets seroius about persuing the venture. Or maybe overwhelming to some.
Pity I do not have time to read everyone's comments first...
My experience with welfare (as one who helps people get access to it) has led me to the conclusion that it is a glorified form of slavery. It is designed to keep people dependant. You would vote for the hand that feeds you, right?
If one party will give you free stuff and the other party insists you study and work hard to earn your keep, guess which one poor, lazy or low-self-esteem masses vote for?
It is a trap that sinks you deeper.
Even when governments do sponsor entrepeneurship programmes it is not marketed well to soberly prepare folks for what they are getting into. People are lured in with promised of 'making their own money' and 'calling their own shots'...INDEPENDANCE!!!! So folks start making a little money then spend it all 'living it up' till the business bursts and they are convinced business is too risky.
They need to be taughe that they cannot take any money out of the business in the first 3 years minimum. Reinvest it for a brighter future... when you start reaping rewards, have a plan for how you will pace your reaping.
I've been unemployed for 16 months now. When I first was unemployed I heard about a program that would allow you to collect unemployment compensation while being trained to start a business. I was so excited I immediately called to find out how to sign up. Problem was, there were no funds for this training anymore. If the government allowed people to collect unemployment while training us to become self-employed it would be a wonderful thing! Instead, they just want you to keep looking for work. If I started a business while collecting unemployment, I would have lost my unemployment compensation. How oppressive is that? Part of the conspiracy to keep people from financial freedom. However, while living in the poverty bracket these last few months, I have saved my income tax refunds, which I cannot understand how I could receive such a refund, even though I did not contribute. I will be using this money to move toward passive income.
Government shoul encourage people to create business by making funds, banks, credit, education, tax relieves and every aid that could help an entrepreneur.
* incentives for new businesses and new jobs created
* reducing overhead and other barriers for start-up businesses [can we say Sarbannes-Oxley repeal or drastic modifications?}
* limiting the legal liability for start-ups and therefore reducing insurance costs overhead
* simplifying the tax code - for businesses, LLCs, partnerships, individuals
* promoting a culture change in governemnt agencies which recognizes that start-ups create jobs, pay taxes and some become giant enterprises which may benefit all
Currently, there's a cozy arrangement between giant corporations, lawyers and Washington politicos which trade support for support at the expense of new, potentially competing businesses which could upset the status quo. This country must recognize that the two major parasites preying on the creators of jobs and money are: trial lawyers and goivernmental regulatory agencies.
It's so simple. Entrepreneurs create themselves. As the John Galt character in "Atlas Shrugged" said,
"get the hell out of my way". No intention to offend others with the quote but it seems to me if they'd let us sort it out ourselves we'd be better off. I thoroughly enjoyed this online experience and will let many know of how it's working in me. My perspective has changed and my determination is dramatically increased. Many thanks.
Note: Downloaded "Grunch of Giants" and will keep for my kids. Saw Bucky lecture a long time ago and now I get it.
I think the first thing to do is to take a cause viewpoint, as individuals, and take ownership of the problem. It's quite evident to me by now, thanks to Robert, that the greenback is loosing it's purchasing value, which has been caused by the out of hand printing of a fiat currency, via the federal reserve, government bailouts and banking derivatives. People have made an agreement to repay a debt, therefore the debts needs to be repaid. If it is not, then the system crashes and a new one will most likely replace it. Until then...
The second thing that needs to be done is that the governments need to take it's place in what I will call the Cashflow Triangle, do what you will with it. The cashflow Triangle is composed of the Clients, Administrative Organizations and Production Teams. For example in the Construction Field. You have The Builders, The General Contractors and Sub Contractors. Which may or may not have employees. When looking at the Triangle on a global scale, you can see that the Clients are Humanity, the Citizens of Earth. That the Governments are the Administrators, chosen by the Citizens of earth. And that the Technicians are the task force behind the production delivery of the products endorsed by to the Citizens of Earth. Each of the components of the Cashflow Triangle are required. The clients get no product without, the administration or production, as Administration, gets no production without Clients or Technicians.
When looking at this Triangle we are also looking at an old paradox,of the egg, the chick and the chicken. Which came first the Clients, the Administrations or the Technicians? From what I can tell the currency should flow from the Clients to the Administrators, which see to it that the products demanded buy the clients, get produced by Contractors and Employees. This is a very optimum flow, which is stunted by a "Limited Resources" mindset, which surfaced and followed us, since we discovered that life was bound to a closed system called a planet. That, without the proper technology, we would only have so much space to expand into and that there would only be so much natural resources to Accommodate Humanity. This has clouded the true source of our wealth and currencies, Human Time and Effort. Before Gold and Silver could ever have had any value it had to have been dug up by somebody. Given Today's Technology, we have already expanded this closed system to size of the Solar System. Which tells me that we have a great wealth of resources, yet untapped.
In Why We Want You to Be Rich, Robert demonstrates the link between Energy and Wealth. We know today that Energy is all around us in abundance and we have the technology to capture it. Efforts should be concentrated in developing abundant renewable source of energy, hand in hand with increasingly efficient Technology.
If the government would stop punishing the rich who not only create jobs but give access to non-entrepreneurs so that they can have access to these opportunities. I say run the government like a business and 2/3 would go bankrupt overnight. Also the government should not penalize or increase taxes on business owners who are attempting to help others to better themselves as well. Doing what they're doing now defeats the purpose of economic stimulus and the encouragement to better yourself.
The governmenr is slowly teaching people about becoming entreprenuers. Look at the Small Business Association (SBA) for this. The government can't teach people who work for them too much about becoming an entreprenuer becuase they themselves would go out of business. By the way, if you are intersted, this Sat 7-25 Pacific Standard time, I have an upcoming Teleseminar called Moving Forward In Life. This will help ypu and teach you how to get ahead of the curve with money and with life. Visit the site to learn more www.HowMoneyReallyWorks.com
If only they can listen and attempt implementing, I will advice the Nigerian government to:
1)Integrate PRACTICAL entrepreneur and financial education in the school curriculum at the Primary and Secondary school levels.
2) Convert the current compulsory one-year mandatory NYSC scheme for Nigerian graduates into a one-year PRACTICAL entrepreneur skill acquisition program that will engage the graduate youth and stimulate them to come up with great ideas that the government can promote into realization.
3) Restructure all existing agencies, institutions, structures that contribute to entrepreneural development in Nigeria for FULL capacity utilization at all levels accross the Country.
4) Provide the enabling infrastructure that will allow all businesses to thrive excellently in Nigeria.
5) Consistently tell and remind the Nigerian citizens to take personal responsibility for their financial situations and contribute to national economic growth.
I think the government need to assure the population that it will refrain from involvement in private interprise and refrain from taxacition and law making as an initial step. As a side thought the practicing of the GOLDEN RULE may produce better results than devoting trillions of $$$$ to establishing party systems in government and lawyering of mankind.
Ways the government could go about creating entrepreneurs
Real governments who care about the future of its citizens should assist enterprenuers by insuring them upto some extent when they do business. This I think will really stimulate people into becoming one.
CIT which is a primary lender to small and medium sized businesses is being allowed to fail, while other large wall street banks/lenders to big business were bailed out .
Is this the conspiracy iN living color !?
Further , the new health plan would impose a tax on these same small businesses.
So, lets see : make the big lender to small businesses go broke = call in many many loans = hurt small business . Then tax the same companies for gov't health care.
What are ways the government could go about creating entrepreneu
The school curriculum, which are usually set by the Government, are mostly educational based not entrepreneurial. I think this is where the Government should start with. Include courses which are entrepreneurial based. Much as education is essential as you outlined in the 3 E's ( Education, Experience and Excessive cash) to be a good investor, understanding the financial education is fundamental as i have come to learn mostly through your books.
Let Robert Run the School System - or run for Public Office...?
I believe it would be wise for the government to fund entrepreneurial programs that nurture the entrepreneurial spirit starting from childhood to post graduate level.
I see various crash-course establishments, backed by government funding, that would mushroom nationwide.
An SEC office could also host trainings for budding entrepreneurs with access to credible and fair Angel investors. We can’t rely on the school system to do the job… so why not create a new breed of niche driven school systems – nation wide, where mentoring and coaching is available.
And maybe have a legal cluase where the government gets like 20% passive income from the entrepreneur's 1st successfull business for a span of 3 years, as a form of paying it forward to the government. Write it off as a tax break or something. That way everybody wins. Government and Entrepreneur.
Imagine if out of the Niche Driven School system, 1 Million Entrepreneurs are produced with each building businesses that grow to 1 Million net revenue each, within 3 years. The government would then get 20% of 10 Billion on it's 3rd Year. I may be optimistic, but the statistics is worth a 2nd look.
And to top it off… have Robert and his team develop, implement and manage such a Niche Driven School System project.
To create entrepreneurs, they'd have to hire entrepreneurs. And that may be the biggest disconnect of all. The people in Government are E's and the quintessential example of those seeking a safe, secure job with benefits. I was unable to function as a government worker. My wife also tried, couldn't, and left.
This seems to be the problem with schools teaching about money. Your poor Dad was the perfect example. He ran the school system and didn't understand money, or even the need to learn. Both my parents are retired public school teachers. I have that frustration. I can't even get my parents to read this book, even after playing Cashflow with them.
Entrepreneurs will continue to be created by outside forces, and often by accident, as Michael Gerber asserts. There are many resources out there. Organizing and expanding upon them, and fostering easy access is a worthy goal.
Ways Government is helping to create entrepreneurs
Hi Robert. I am learning lots from your last chapter - 12! Thanks! A friend Richard MacFarlane has created a funding project which created a criteria and a team who went out to find entrepreneurs with viable business ideas who need funding. These entrepreneurs applied for funding through this project and the government has just issued a grant to the project to fund most of them. These are mostly meant to create jobs. I have a call into Richard for more details in case you would like to know more. Sue Diamond Lethbridge 215-672-2726 suediamond11@aol.com We live in Pennsylvania.

Hi Americans.

" how can i purchase a one peice of land with out using my own money, owning that piece of land and get a profit when i buy it?"... i always expanding my context the one that i learn while reading your book on retire young retire rich... and now i'm 26 years old from Philippines. i'm very much eager to learn from you... your book serve as a mentor to me... thank you robert...

No offense, just an observation.
Teacher,

goverment should lent our people money, especially for those who need the money to make their own business.
And the money only can come to those people through the bank.
the problem is, is there we can trust that the bank would lend the money to those people, or they used that money to buy stocks,or else otherwise lend it to those who really need it.
the second problem is, the people who need the money are really use it to make their business not to spend it for something else and can't pay back to the bank.
thanks,
The current Government policy and all the politics support individuals as job seekers.

@ conseptual gunnar. are you talking about boating facilities. To bring the bigger ships in.
We don't need government policies that destroy markets (take your pick from the welfare state plethora).
good day all,
Gunnar
How about a social network platform that is supported by the elements of the B-I Triangle? A system designed around those requirements would provide the necessary resources for entrepreneurship to flourish. This network could provide the talent, capital and overall guidance to create a higheer success rate for start ups. In essence it would be a real-time business development platform that would harvest entrepreneurship and protect the intelectual property at the same time. I believe transperancy is the key to protection. This might even be viable in the private sector? How would private investors look at this? I think favorable. That's my two-cents

Long story short - I have some reasonably sound ideas in these articles - please feel free to read and expand on them. First post (1st of 3) is How Home-Based Online Business Can Help The Australian Government Get Out of Debt
A few obvious ones:
* incentives for new businesses and new jobs created
* reducing overhead and other barriers for start-up businesses [can we say Sarbannes-Oxley repeal or drastic modifications?}

It's a G.R.U.N.C.H .
EGREGIOUS IF U ASK ME !
This seems to me almost a non-sequitur.
